Here's how SMACKDOWN works:

WORKSHOPS
Four full hours of instruction. Two separate tracks of classes at the Intermediate and Advanced levels!!

BATTLE

Team Criteria:
Teams must consist of atleast 3 couples
Each team must provide one judge for the competition
(The only criteria for being a judge is that they must be able to determine if there was at least 60% swing in the routines.
Therefore, they will have to be relatively familiar with swing dancing)
Team registration: $40
CASH PRIZE TO WINNING TEAM

3 Divisions

Team Choreography: Must be a choreographed routine involving entire team. Any music you want, not to exceed 3 minutes. Routine must be 60% swing (any form of swing).

Strictly Swing: One couple from each team will all take the floor at once to dance to 2 songs of the DJs choice. One song will be medium tempo and the other will be fast! Each couple will be judged against each other and racked and stacked. All swing styles are acceptable. ANYTHING GOES! Think Jack N Jill, and you've got the right idea.

ROYAL RUMBLE: All the teams will surround the floor for this division. The DJ will play a song and the teams will battle it out in this mother of a JAM circle. ANYTHING GOES!
